The Shore Leave family would like to thank all the Celebrity Guests, Authors, Scientists, and Attendees who made Shore Leave 44 one of our best conventions ever!

With the big move this year, we did have a drop off in attendance from previous years, but nothing that affects our convention going forward. And we had a nice surge of around 200 people who were first-timers at Shore Leave!

And the news is in! Overall the attendees loved the new location. There was a learning curve between the convention and the hotel, but the hotel stepped up quickly and had the manager and the general manager onsite all weekend to take care of us.

Shore Leave Charities

We raised some good funds for our charities as well, with the charity auction bringing in some fabulous sales at the table and bids at the auction!

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society via the Poker Tournament: $812.50
Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society: $1,114
St Judes Children’s Research Hospital: $1,114

Thanks to everyone who gave to make this record-setting accomplishment.

Shore Leave Masquerade

It was a busy evening in the Lincoln Theater on Saturday with the Masquerade. A special thanks goes out to our Mistress and Master of Ceremonies, Gina & Frank Hernandez. Our Judges were Robin Curtis, Adele Simmons, and Bob Eggleton. Our Handiwork Judges were Lindsay Reinoehl Bartleson and Cindy Andersen. Our Judges’ Clerk was Faith Baker.
