Shore Leave 44 Was AMAZING!

We had a lot of first-timers at the convention and considering the new location it wasn’t surprising. We also had an amazing turnout of previous attendees so a Special thanks to everyone who came to Amish country for the weekend.

Shore Leave made BANK for our Charities!

Our charity table and auction raised $2229 for our two charities, the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Thanks to everyone who gave to make this record-setting accomplishment.

SL44 Fest With Our Guests

This was our first year holding a banquet with our guests, and everyone had a great time. Photos of the attendees and guests are posted now on our Facebook Page. More photos and Masquerade results will be coming soon.

Fest With Our Guests: Join us Friday evening, July 26 in the Vistas Café for our first annual Fest with our Guests!
Enjoy a Pennsylvania Dutch Buffet while dining alongside the celebrity of your choice or come for dinner and stay for the after-dinner Mix & Mingle.

Vendor Room: With over 15,000 sq ft of space, this is the largest vendor room Shore Leave has ever had. We have dealers from all over the country to bring out-of-this-world items to you!

Art Show: The Shore Leave Art Show presents sculptures, original paintings, prints, and drawings from all parts of the Alpha Quadrant.

Writing Workshops: Improve your writing skills with workshops led by favorite writers, covering topics such as writing non-fiction in Trek, point of view in storytelling, and the challenges of being a writer.

Filk: Filk, the music of science fiction, fantasy, and related genres, is part of the Shore Leave experience.

Stargazing: Explore the planets, stars, and galaxies visible from Lancaster.

Meet the Pros Party: Autograph party with author guests and the chance to meet authors of the latest sci-fi releases.

Game Room: A variety of activities including a board game library, role-playing games, collectible card games, and miniature war games.

Photo Ops: Get a photo taken with your favorite stars and have it signed without leaving the hotel.

Fan Panels: Some amazing fan-led panels about your favorite Sci-fi/Fantasy subjects!

Science Programming: Shore Leave prides itself on its amazing Science and Astronaut guests. We provide programming that is informative and fun for everyone!

Small Budget Films: The ongoing renaissance in fan filming and small budget films continues to produce spectacular new works of science fiction and science fantasy.

Shore Leave is the annual meeting of the STAT Club of Maryland, a 501 (c) 7 Social Club.
