Praise Avis and Welcome J. Lee!

J Lee, star of The Orville, is heading to the convention—and fans of smart, funny, and heartfelt sci-fi should be ready to engage.

As Lt. John LaMarr, J Lee went from laid-back helmsman to chief engineer aboard the U.S.S. Orville, winning audiences over with his sharp wit and effortless charm. Whether cracking jokes or solving engineering crises, Lee’s performance brought balance to the show’s blend of comedy and classic space drama.

Beyond The Orville, Lee is a longtime collaborator with creator Seth MacFarlane and has lent his voice to animated hits like Family Guy and American Dad!. His roots in music, writing, and animation give him a unique creative edge that shines through in every role.

Photo Ops with J. and a combo with Adrianne Palicki will be available for purchase at the door.

Aunt Hazel's Whichcraft Project Part II

The last Cosplay fix-up did so well that Aunt Hazels is holding another!

Did you attend last year’s Shore Leave con? Or buy a pass for this year? Or are you a member of STAT, LLC? Well, we have good news for those of you in the Baltimore area! You are invited to Aunt Hazel's Whichcraft Project. On Saturday, July 5th, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., the space will be open to us so that we can fix, bedazzle, repair, embellish, etc, your cosplay costume. This is a free event for Shore Leave attendees and STAT members! Aunt Hazel's is located at 4708 Harford Road, Baltimore, MD. Rest in Peace, Dennis Kreshock

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dennis Kreshock, 63, of Muhlenberg Township. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, hotel industry professional, and photo technician with the Pennsylvania DMV, Dennis was cherished by many for the joy, humor, and warmth he brought into every part of his life.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy, with whom he would have celebrated 40 years of marriage this October; their children, Elizabeth, Andrew (and his wife, Hien Phung), and Joseph; his grandchildren, Jayden and Benjamin; and several siblings and extended family members. His loyal dog, Chase, will also feel his absence deeply.

Dennis was a longtime attendee and volunteer at Shore Leave, where he was a dedicated member of the Lower Decks department. Fondly referred to as one of the "Con Dads," he was always looking out for his son Joe (now the co-chair of Gaming for Shore Leave) and the other volunteers. Shore Leave was one of Dennis’s favorite traditions—equal parts vacation and celebration—and perfectly reflected his fun-loving nature and love for people. To the Shore Leave community, Dennis was a familiar presence, a source of laughter, and a truly kind soul.

Tons of Parking!

We have added two additional areas for attendees to park at the Wyndham hotel. On the map, you will see these areas marked in a square as ‘Vendor & Overflow Parking’. The hotel is providing transportation from ALL parking areas during the following times:

Kids Programming at Shore Leave

Shore Leave has fantastic activities planned for kids of all ages—not just for the little Siths, but for the Teen Jedis too! Younglings (ages 4–12) won't want to miss the Friday Night Dance Party and Movie Watch Party!

At the same time, Teen Jedis will have their own chill zone—a quiet spot to relax, escape the crowds, and maybe even meet other Padawans their age.

Shore Leave is proud to support our local teachers. To help them, we're collecting school supplies. Many people don’t realize that teachers often buy supplies for their students out of their own pockets. Visit our website for details.

Join fellow creators from across the Alpha Quadrant at the Shore Leave Art Show, where sculptures, original paintings, prints, and drawings come to life. Shore Leave Logo Contest Ends July 1st!

Contest Ends July 1st! We are seeking a logo design for our Shore Leave 46 (2026) convention. The top 10 designs (as determined by the Shore Leave Committee) will be showcased in this year’s Art Show, where attendees can vote for their favorite. The winning design will be announced after the convention through the Shore Leave newsletter and social media. The grand prize is a Weekend Pass to the 2026 Shore Leave convention. See all details on how to submit and other guidelines on our website!
